in the country of Belgium, they light all the streets and even the little roads, every night. i always thought that was cool, because it helps people not get lost. also they say that in the night-time you can see the lighted roads of Belgium from space, but i don't know if it's true.
that is the thing i always remember about streetlights.
that, and also, we had a woodpecker on our street once, who loved pecking at the METAL streetlight pole. he was confused... and really loud.

As the day turns to night, we watch the street light outside Adam's window struggle to flicker on in the space between light and dark.
I wanted to put Christmas lights on all of my trees and bushes this year but it was too much work!
